After Your Boudoir Session: Images, Retouching & Privacy

After your boudoir session: image selection, retouching and private delivery

Your boudoir session doesn’t end when the camera goes away. Image selection, careful editing and private delivery turn the photographs into a collection you can enjoy on your own terms. Here’s how to plan for that part of the experience.

Know the Deliverables Before Your Shoot

Before booking, confirm how many edited images are included, whether you select them from a proof gallery, the delivery format and the expected timeline. If you’re planning a wedding gift or anniversary surprise, share the deadline early. An album needs production and shipping time beyond digital delivery, so don’t leave that conversation until after the shoot.

My South Florida boudoir collection includes 90 minutes of photography and 8 retouched high-resolution digital images for $425, with a consultation, guided posing and a private gallery. There’s no separate purchase required for those eight images. Optional extras and location-dependent charges are quoted before booking.

Review Your Private Proof Gallery

Your proof gallery is where you choose the images you’d like finished. Proofs are a selection stage, not the final retouched collection. Start by identifying the photographs that feel most like you, then look for variety: a close portrait, a wider composition, a favorite wardrobe look and a meaningful detail.

You don’t have to choose only the poses that seem most dramatic. A quiet expression or simple frame may be the photograph you return to most. If two similar images make the decision difficult, ask for guidance on expression, light and which will work best for your intended use.

Set Retouching Preferences Clearly

Retouching should support the portrait rather than erase the person. We’ll discuss your preferences for skin, temporary blemishes, color and overall finish. Tell me what you want to keep, not just what you want adjusted. Natural texture, scars, freckles and other personal features shouldn’t automatically disappear.

Ask about any additional editing requests before final delivery. Extensive changes or revisions outside the agreed scope may need a separate quote. Keeping that discussion specific makes the process clearer for everyone.

Receive and Back Up Your Finished Images

Your selected, edited images are delivered through a private online gallery. Confirm the delivery date and download window in your booking details, and download your collection promptly rather than treating the gallery as permanent storage.

  • Keep the original high-resolution files for printing.
  • Save a second copy in a secure location you control.
  • Use a device and account that are private to you.
  • Avoid forwarding your gallery link or access details to anyone you don’t want viewing the images.

If you need a particular print size, tell me before ordering. A crop that works on a phone may not fit an album spread or framed print without adjustment.

Your Privacy and Image-Use Choices

Your portraits are personal. At Lars Miller Media, booking a boudoir session does not mean agreeing to public promotion. Images are not posted to the website, shared on social media or shown to other clients without your specific written permission.

If you do choose to allow an image to be shared, define which image and which use you’re comfortable with. You can keep the whole collection private. Before booking, ask about gallery access, file retention and the written agreement so you understand the process.

Albums, Prints and Gifts

A printed collection is optional, not a requirement. If you’d like an album or prints, we can discuss image choices, production options and a separate quote. Check the total price, design approval process and estimated delivery before committing.

For a surprise gift, use a delivery address, email and device that won’t spoil it. Don’t send intimate images through an inquiry form to explain what you want; a description of the format and occasion is enough to start planning.
